Suffering from IBS- Do I need to quit Non-Veg or not?

 3 mins Read

Remember-

Crossing the road and looking around several times- even during zero traffic time??

Standing on the cliff of a high mountain & looking down cautiously & putting pressure on legs/body so we don't slip.
Happens to everybody!!
No matter how clear is the road or safe distance we are from the edge of a cliff, our brain is sending these fear signals for our survival. Agree?
For our existence, there are certain emotions that are necessary -
One is 'Fear'
&
the other is 'Violence'.

Most people don't know it and take them as negative words without understanding their relevance.

Producing children is also a kind of fear in which a person wants to create his/her copies so his lineage doesn't get extinct after certain times. But this fear of choice ...

Similarly, we need to do certain kinds of violence in order to survive.

Let us take the example - Being part of a food chain & for surviving needs clearing the forest, vegetation, species  - so this is a kind of violence to the trees & animals residing there earlier.

Now let us look at eating- It is an also act of violence where we become part of the food chain & consume food derived from the crop harvesting, animal products, etc. <My Learning from Meri Gita- Devdutt Pattnayak>

Those people who looked at just eating veg as non-violence are not fully correct as certain violence of lower degree is still needed as they promised themselves to enjoy less & renounce.

So eating both is a kind of violence & that is why we should pray before eating. Now we need to know that for better satisfaction we need to increase the effort or in this case violence. Hence eating non-veg food is greater violence.

If you are a forced Vegetarian/vegan person who doesn't enjoy their food & finds it hard to go back to a non-veg diet, it is time to re-think.

Overcoming fear is needed.   Don't fear to suffer as it brings enlightenment on what is wrong/right.  Instead, we should fear "blind faith" which is stopping us discover our real self & find a bliss state.

I see a major problem with people suffering from IBS is their own mind blockages - they can't eat/they can eat this.  They constantly operate like a switch daily & still don't reach any satisfaction level. Because alone suffering can't bring the salvation of any habit.

A human mind can create an instantaneous moment of joy & the person is just carried away. Happens with everyone. We are not Robots Correct?

A lot of people in this world eat non-veg & don't have IBS. Please look & analyze things beyond eating habits to heal IBS.
