Importance of 2-3 mins hard exercises during Corona time daily!!

3 mins read

We all know the importance of exercise in changing the quality of our lives.

But just knowing this had not helped most people as they are sure of not having time to do it because of work, responsibilities, and sometimes mood.

Believe it or not - It is not time but mood/emotions/thinking which is a major roadblock for beginning to do any exercise.

Also for few people who are somewhat convinced to start exercising do not set an end goal which is the main reason to lose focus in long run.

Some others end up watching too-perfectly created videos that they become convinced that- "Mujse na ho paye ga" (I can't do this).

It happens with me as well sometimes... I will share my experience about a day before yesterday's office incident.

Unless any urgency, I normally do yog, breathing meditation, exercise for 45-60 mins daily.

But yesterday morning my mind was complaining(due to an office incident a day before yesterday) so much that I was not able to focus on meditation or yog even after 30 mins. Not a single peaceful moment.

So I took my rope and made an instant self-commitment for jumping 90 seconds non-stop. Normally I was practicing for 75 secs these days and was still struggling with that.

My mind complained & below thoughts came up -

"I have not slept enough" -Are you sure?

"My legs are paining so much - Are you sure?

"Time is running "- Are you sure?

"You will get more exhausted" -Are you sure?

I set the alarm for 90 secs, took rope did a stretch, fear kept building, and felt as if legs are complaining even more but I started skipping.

Again -I have been practicing without break non-stop 75 seconds rope jump for many days but yesterday I got rope hit on my head, neck, leg four times during the initial 1 min but I didn't stop and kept it till 91-92 seconds.

I got completely exhausted and breathless and sat down sweating. As I got my breath back I smiled, closed my eyes, and meditated for 5-6 mins non-stop, found solace!!!

Please extract 2-3 mins every day to do one hard exercise per your capacity initially. This will help to break those endless complaint cycles.

It can be simple stretching, bending, climbing stairs, 5-10 rope jumps & slowly advancing it to Surya Namaskar, 25-50 rope jumps, wall handstand, wall headstand, Splunk, push-ups or it could anything...

We need to daily practice the art of inner reverse engineering!!!
